The Study Room houses one of the largest publicly accessible libraries of Live Art related items in the world. It is based in Hackney Wick, London, and contains over 6,500 catalogued books, DVDs, documents, journals and digital files related to Live Art theory and practice.
We are very pleased to announce that from Monday 14 September 2015 the Study Room will be open to the public for the first time on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Saturdays.
New opening hours:
Monday 10.30am – 9pm
Tuesday 10.30am – 9pm
Wednesday 10.30am – 6pm
Thursday 10.30am – 9pm
Friday 10.30am – 6pm
Saturday 12.00pm – 4pm
Sunday Closed
The extended opening hours are possible because of our new Study Room Ambassador Scheme. Following a public call for proposals, ten artists and researchers who represent a wide range of research interests have been invited to become Study Room Ambassadors, hosting Study Room visitors and receiving space, time and other support for independent research in the Study Room in return.
