LADA 15th Anniversary
- Date
- 28 Jan 2014
“The Live Art Development Agency is invaluable to performance artists because it is creating a historical platform for the medium, and the possibility to see the past, present and future of performance art all at once.” Marina Abramovic, LADA Patron
LADA marks its 15th anniversary in 2014. We are celebrating with a series of initiatives across the year, reflecting on the seismic shifts in Live Art practices that have taken place since 1999 through the lens of the Agency and its work.
Anniversary activities include:
Podcast Series “15 Minutes With…”
A series of dialogues with some of the exceptional artists and thinkers we have had the pleasure of working with over the last 15 years. The first dialogue is between Lois Keidan of LADA and Lois Weaver of Queen Mary, University of London about platforms and support structures for young artists.
Listen out for Podcasts in February, March and April with Maddy Costa & Mary Paterson on Critical Writing, Gavin Butt & Dickie Beau on Research, and Joshua Sofaer & Stacy Makishi on Professional Development.
A series of new artworks, each in a limited edition of 15. The first edition is a photographic collaboration between Manuel Vason and Hugo Glendinning, two of the world's leading photographers of Live Art and related performance practices.
Forthcoming editions include works by Tim Etchells, Raimund Hoghe & Rosa Frank, Zierle & Carter, Sonia Boyce, and many more.
Look out for more 15th Anniversary announcements of podcasts, limited editions, and special events with some of your favourite artists.
