Gut Reactions: Watch, Read, Chat

UPDATE: LADA regrets to announce that the gathering event has been postponed along with all events until the beginning of May, at the earliest. Our office and Study Room will also remain closed for the same period. Please check for updates and more info via our COVID-19 statement here.

We are looking for other ways to make Gut Reactions happen online. Watch this space for updates.

Part reading-group, part-film club, and part-social, Gut-Reactions returns for its newest series of Study Room Sessions at LADA on the third Tuesday of every month starting November 2019.

Each month there will be a selected reading available from LADA that will be available to read in advance. Or, just turn up and get involved in the chat. We will also watch selected documentation from the archive to inform conversation.

We will be watching courageous performances that come into dialogue with the reading.

Gut Reactions is always a relaxed and open setting that provides the opportunity for anyone to come and ask questions, discover new things and to encounter the unexpected.

Please join the Gut Reactions mailing list via the booking link to receive the reading material for each session and to be kept up to date.

About LADA

The Live Art Development Agency is a ‘Centre for Live Art’: a knowledge centre, a production centre for programmes and publications, a research centre setting artists and ideas in motion, and an online centre for digital experimentation, representation and dissemination.

We support contemporary culture’s most radical and inventive artists, practices and ideas. We champion new ways of working, legitimise unclassifiable artforms, record untold histories, and give agency to underrepresented artists. We believe in Live Art as a means to challenge the status quo and initiate meaningful social change.
