LADA's Summer Programme
Online this week: Krishna Istha, River Lin, La Ribot, Robin Deacon, Nicola Fornoni and LADA Screens: Keith Khan
Between Monday 8 June and Sunday 19 July, LADA will present an online Summer Programme – weekly offerings of screenings, talks, presentations and ‘live’ online events that draw upon the incredible resources and resourcefulness of the artists and organisations who work with, around, and for Live Art. This programme will include contributions by LADA’s artist Patrons, a selection of LADA Screens Greatest Hits and the presentations of Once More with Feeling – a series of instruction and reenactment pieces invited by LADA during the Covid-19 pandemic.
During these times we strive to remain a resource for our community: responding to the pandemic, and the associated states of isolation, lockdown and distancing, LADA has compiled this ongoing list of support and resources for artists and arts workers, have sought proposals for two online, collaborative home-based residencies, and begun a series of ‘Lockdown Lists‘ which draw attention to the ways in which contemporary and historic Live Art practices speak to the issues and conditions of lockdown.
How does it work?
Our Summer Programme will be presented online across six weeks, with a different collection of screenings, talks, interventions and art works presented each week. These will be available to view for seven days only – between Monday and Sunday.
Each Friday we will make an announcement – on this page, on our social media, and via newsletter – about the forthcoming programme.
Week 1
Online Monday 8 to Sunday 14 June
The first week of our online Summer Programme features: screenings of works by Noëmi Lakmaier and Adam Patterson – two of our LADA Screens Greatest Hits; a new performance for camera by LADA Patron Neil Bartlett; and the premiere of Z, a new performance film by Keith Khan. Z is presented as part of our LADA Screens programme and will be online until Sunday 19 July. Khan appears in a pre-recorded conversation with Joseph Morgan Schofield (LADA), discussing this work within the context of his wider practice.
We are still seeking proposals from folx looking to be stallholders for our online Summer Fete – the deadline for this is Monday 15 June.
