North West, Lake District.
Deadline: FULLY BOOKED.
The Project
A creative expedition led by Neil Callaghan and Simone Kenyon.
Starting 5pm Friday 13 July
Ending 3pm Sunday 15 July
This weekend will consist of a walking expedition with two overnight stays in the Dinah Hoggus camping barn, Borrowdale. Involving one full day’s walk through mountainous terrain with practical exercises and discussions en-route. This is an opportunity for artists to question and reflect upon their practice in a supportive, safe and inspiring environment. A chance for us to discuss our fears into the night, sweat out our frustrations uphill and scream our dreams into the distant horizon.
The workshop is open to artists from all disciplines, but particularly those that are beyond ‘emerging’ and do not yet consider themselves ‘established’. We hope to find a common ground and fruitful discussion in the diversity of artists.
Due to the nature of the expedition all participants must have a willingness to work physically and in variable weather conditions.
Accommodation and meals will be provided, but you will be asked for a contribution of £20 towards costs. Participants will be responsible for their own travel to and from Dinah Hoggus, but Neil and Simone will organize car shares and lifts from the nearest train station, Keswick.
