15th Anniversary print: Raimund Hoghe – Throwing the Body Into the Fight
LADA marks its 15th anniversary in 2014, which we are celebrating with a series of initiatives across the year. Our anniversary activities provide an opportunity to reflect on the seismic shifts in Live Art practices and discourses that have taken place since 1999 through the lens of the Agency and its work. Look out for special events, online activities, and publications with some of your favourite artists.
LADA’s third 15th Anniversary limited edition print is by Rosa Frank, from Raimund Hoghe’s performance Throwing the Body Into the Fight. The choreographer and performance maker Raimund Hoghe (Germany) is a Patron of LADA, and in 2013 Throwing the Body into the Fight: a Portrait of Raimund Hoghe, edited by Mary Kate Connolly, was published by LADA and Intellect Books as the first title in the Intellect Live book series. The publication is illustrated throughout with a rich collection of archival images by the photographer Rosa Frank.
Raimund Hogheʼs international profile has risen considerably in recent years. He regularly presents his work in Europe and internationally, and has been awarded several prizes. His company recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Raimund Hoghe was the dramaturg for Pina Bauchʼs company in the 1980s.
Proceeds from the print sale will support LADA’s artistic programmes.
