DIY+ Supported by Jerwood Charitable Foundation
- Date
- 21 Feb 2017
Thanks to the support of Jerwood Charitable Foundation, we are offering a series of DIY ‘enhancements’ in 2017. DIY is an opportunity for artists working in Live Art to conceive and run unusual training and professional development projects for other artists. The 2017 DIY Call for Proposals has been announced; application deadline 12noon, Monday 13 March 2017.
Jerwood Charitable Foundation is supporting the following ‘enhancements’:
- DIY+: 3 larger-scale DIY projects with budgets of £4,000 each, designed to facilitate ambitious projects needing greater resources, and/or internationally-based artists to lead projects for the benefit of early-career practitioners (specified brief below)
- DIY Gateway: 3 opportunities for artist-led organisations and collectives to support DIYs with their knowledge and expertise as subsidised partner organisations. Gateway partners in 2017 are BUZZCUT, ]performance s p a c e[, and Steakhouse Live.
- DIY Progression: 3 ‘follow-on’ funds, selected by invitation, to further develop projects born of DIYs.
DIY+ specific brief
DIY+ is a new initiative that has been created to facilitate more ambitious DIY projects than we have previously been able to support. Larger project budgets of £4,000 are available for 3 projects which require substantial materials or resources, and/or will be led by internationally-based artists for the benefit of early-career practitioners. We seek proposals which represent a significant step up from DIYs to date, either in terms of scale and scope, or which offer participant artists a level of engagement and development that cannot be achieved without a larger award.
LADA will be the primary supporting organisation for DIY+. For more information about these opportunities, please contact Megan.
