(NOTE: East End Collaborations took place between 1999 and 2009. In 2010, FRESH AiR was launched: a new initiative from Queen Mary, University of London, produced in collaboration with the Live Art Development Agency, that offers recent Live Art graduates and emergent artists support, advice and professional development.)
East End Collaborations (EEC) is a collaboration between the Live Art Development Agency and Queen Mary, University of London offering a range of support structures for graduates and emerging artists working with Live Art and based in London.
East End Collaborations aims to respond to the professional development needs of artists who are at an early stage of their practice by providing opportunities to access information, advice and expertise through the training day Everything You Wanted To Know About Live Art But Were Afraid To Ask and to showcase their work through the open submissions EEC Platform.
In a new, leaner and meaner format from 2008, EEC gives the chance to find out all about Live Art in Everything You Wanted To Know About Live Art But Were Afraid To Ask, and to see tomorrow’s artists today in the open submissions EEC Platform all in one day.

EEC Platform
The EEC Platform is an opportunity for artists who are working in Live Art to present their work in a professional context and introduce their practice to audiences, peers, promoters and funders. The EEC Platform takes place in a range of performance and installation spaces at Queen Mary, University of London.

Everything You Wanted To Know About Live Art But Were Afraid To Ask… is a day of information and advice about Live Art for graduates and emerging artists.
Everything …. offers an introduction to the Live Art sector and system, a sense of how things work, practical information about what’s on offer and a chance to learn from the experience of more established artists. The day covers issues ranging from how to approach research and training, how to network, how to make a successful collaboration, how to market and promote your work, how to develop practices within a range of different contexts and sites, how to think about documentation, how to work across platforms and media and how to survive as an artist.
