Description
‘This print allowed me to carry out, in 2D form, desired actions for the Tower performance as the score for the work was taking shape. Through non-compliance to gendered societal policing, the female body can easily become radical, political and activist. I’m interested, throughout my work, in what can happen in this state of self-sovereignty, particularly in public spaces. In the Tower performance, this state was activated by taking up space and volume within a rural context.’

The Tower monoprints evolved with and through the process of the Tower performance that took place in Wattisfield, Suffolk in September 2024.
