East End Collaborations 2008 Call

Queen Mary, University of London and the Live Art Development Agency announce
EAST END COLLABORATIONS, MAY 2008
Call for proposals from graduates and emerging artists working with Live Art in London for EEC PLATFORM 2008
Deadline for proposals: 11 April 2008
In a new, leaner and meaner format East End Collaborations 2008 will continue to respond to the artistic and professional development needs of artists at an early stage of their practice by providing opportunities to showcase their work in the EEC Platform, and to access information, advice and expertise through an Everything You Wanted To Know About Live Art But Were Afraid To Ask event. But this year the EEC Platform and the Everything You Wanted To Know About Live Art event will all take place on just one day – Saturday 24 May 2008.
The EEC Platform is a chance for artists who are working with Live Art to present their work in a public and professional context, and to introduce their practice to audiences, peers, and promoters. This year Platform artists will also be invited to participate in a closed feedback session on Sunday 25 May where they will receive practical advice and critical feedback on their work from experienced artists, curators, and performance students and scholars from Queen Mary.
The EEC Platform will take place in a range of performance and installation spaces at Queen Mary, University of London, and participating artists will be selected on an open submission basis.
View application guidelines here.
Please note that we can only accept proposals received by email.
Artists should email their EEC Platform proposal by 11 April 2008 at the very latest to Rose Sharp on [email protected]
